What is SportBuddy?

SportBuddy is a mobile application that provides live scores and match information for over 100 leagues and thousands of teams in sports such as football and basketball. Users can also access detailed information about past and upcoming matches.

Where can I download the SportBuddy app?

SportBuddy is available on iOS and Android operating systems. You can download the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play Store.

Which leagues and teams are available on SportBuddy?

SportBuddy covers over 100 leagues worldwide and thousands of teams. Live match scores and statistics for leagues such as the Premier League, La Liga, NBA, and many other national and international leagues are available in our app.

Is membership to the app paid?

Downloading the SportBuddy app is free. However, some premium services such as avoiding advertisements may require payment. For more information about these services, you can visit the in-app purchase section.

How often are live score updates provided?

SportBuddy provides real-time score and important event updates during live matches. We send notifications to your mobile phone instantly for every significant moment during the match if asked for it.

Can I get information about upcoming matches?

Yes, the SportBuddy app provides detailed information about upcoming matches, including the date, time, location, and the teams involved.

Where can I view match statistics?

To access match details, click on the relevant match on the main page. Here, you can find not only live score information but also player performances, team statistics, and details of important moments in the match.

Which languages does the app support?

SportBuddy currently operates in English. We plan to add support for more languages in the future.

How can I see my favorite leagues and teams at the top?

You can select your favorite leagues and teams either directly finding the relevants league or team or you can add more teams an leagues through ‘’Follow’’ and ‘’Leagues’’ tab.

Why can't I find player profiles?

Our Player Profile section is currently under development. You will have access to all player profiles as soon as possible.

How can I receive notifications for matches I'm following?

When you add a team or match to your favorites, all notifications are automatically enabled by default, but you can disable them from the menu at the top of the Live Scores screen if you prefer.

Why don't you cover all leagues?

We are always working to add more leagues. We would be happy to receive your suggestions for leagues you would like to see in the future by emailing us at support@therival.app.

Is a refund issued for canceling a subscription?

  1. You can cancel your subscription at any time but no refunds are provided for cancellations in accordance with consumer cancellation rights.
  2. You can cancel your SportBuddy account at any time, however, there is no provision for a partial refund for cancellations.

Payments are non-refundable, and no refund or credit is available for partially used billing periods. You understand and agree that under our subscription agreement, we will not provide any refunds for any unused portion of your subscription if we suspend or terminate your account for your violation of our terms of service. We may, at any time and for any reason, provide some or all of our subscribers with refunds or discounts. The amount, form, and manner of such refunds or discounts, and the decision to provide them, are at Rival’s sole and absolute discretion. We are under no obligation to provide such refunds or discounts in the future.

I was still charged even after canceling my subscription. What can I do?

There could be several reasons why you were charged despite canceling your subscription. One possible reason is that the cancellation process wasn't processed before the start of the next billing period. In this case, the charge would be for the upcoming subscription period.

Another possible reason is an error in the cancellation process. This could be due to technical issues, human error, or misunderstandings regarding the cancellation process. We take these issues seriously and will work to resolve the situation as soon as possible.

Please reach out to our customer support team with your account details and any pertinent details about the charge. The issue will be investigated by us, and if it's found that you were wrongly charged, a refund will be issued. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as we work to resolve the issue.

What can I do if I'm not receiving any notifications from SportBuddy that should be coming through?

If you're using an iOS device:

  1. Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
  2. Tap on Notifications.
  3. Under Notification Style, select SportBuddy.
  4. Turn on Allow Notifications.
  5. Choose your alert preferences.
  6. Decide if you want notification sounds.
  7. Choose whether to show notification badges.

If you're using an Android device:

  1. Open the Settings app on your phone.
  2. Tap on Notifications and then App notifications.
  3. Find SportBuddy from the list of apps you've received notifications from recently.
  4. Tap on SportBuddy.
  5. Turn on the notifications.

How can I change the theme color of SportBuddy?

You can go to the "More" tab in our app and select the theme settings there to choose between dark mode or light mode.

How can I get in touch with customer service?
